I've decided to start a blog up soon that will include free photographs to use for icons and such because, to be fairly honest... I'm pretty sick of people just taking
Copyrighted pictures off of dA for their own leisure. It's one thing to just take them and use them as stock but it's another thing all together to claim that you took them. I'd like to say I'm infuriated but I cannot be because it really doesn't surprise me anyone. Nothing on the internet does.
/rant!
The weather is being a bit of a tease in England at the moment. It's really keeping us guessing but, what's new? The seasons really reprisent the phases in my life so I'm waiting for Autumn to come around so I can reflect on how I've grown or not over the Summer period. I love looking back on the things that I've done and the things I've moved on from. I like to feel like I've achieved something.
What can I say I've achieved? Freedom and individuality. As a person in a small city in the north of England, you can sometimes get sucked into the fashion and trend in the area just to fit in and not be the eccentric, young fool whose different to everyone else, god forbid. Yes, I used to wear Rockports and Regatta jackets in school accompanied by the huge, gold earrings and shocking school uniform. I was what you would call 'a chav'... but I had a secret side to me that nobody knew.
My dad used to take us camping, to music festivals, to bluegrass festivals and I would dress how the hell I wanted. I'd have crazy, curled hair that looked like an afro and I'd wear bright purple jeans and odd-looking hats. That was me.
Finally, after 21.5 years on this planet... I can safely say that I am 'me'. I wear what I want, I eat what I want, I do what I want, I like what I want, I talk how I want.
I guess that's what I'm really proud of over the Summer. I've grown to a point of needed no control and no one to depend on for opinions that I don't agree with.
I've felt trapped for such a long time but now that's over.
Goodbye, clones and conformists.
And on that note...
Goodbye to Summer!
Can't wait to embrace Fall and Winter and to grow some more.
My biggest favourites over the Summer...
